I had a dock and boat lift installed in November of 2014 by Ram Marine. It has worked well since installation. On March 7th I was working on the boat until about 7:45 pm and pushed the up button on the remote to raise the boat. I was tired and had my hands full of tools so I left the dock while the boat was still going up. As fate would have it the belt broke on the side the regulates the limiting switch motor and the outside motor kept running until the cable was run tight against the drive pipe. Since there is no limiting switch on this motor it ran until it burned out the belt on this side as well. The boat was tilted at a 30 degree angle and jammed against the pilings. I called Ram Marine the following morning and Dave came out within an hour of reaching him. He managed to get two new belts on the motors and nurse the boat down into a level position. I am very happy with Ram Marine for the service and promptness in an emergency situation. The lift was functional when he left, and they returned to make some permanent repairs once the parts came in a few days later. It’s important to have someone you can count on when an emergency arrives and I’m glad I had Ram Marine !

"I met Dave for the first time in June 2012 to rebuild a fishing pier at our home in Englewood. During the discussion for the fishing pier repair, the question of possibility of applying for a boat dock permit came up. I informed Dave that we have been denied such a permit twice in the last 10 years but he suggested giving it another try. After 2 years of Dave’s efforts with Sarasota County and State officials he was successful in obtaining the boat dock permit.
He constructed a 300 foot long boat dock and lift on our property on Lemon Bay. The work was carried out professionally and completed on schedule.
